John Edwin Livingston, Jr. of Portland, Oregon, affectionately known as "Little John," "John Ed," and "Brother,"  passed away suddenly on September 27, 2009 of undetermined causes in Portland.  He was predeceased by his parents, John Edwin Livingston, Sr. and June Evelyn Garner Livingston of Camden, Arkansas; his paternal grandparents, Edwin Basham Livingston and Mabel Foster Livingston of Camden, Arkansas; his maternal grandparents, Charles Garner of Jennings, Louisiana, and Mackie Garner McNaspy of Lafayette, Louisiana; his maternal aunt, Anita Joy Garner Antoine and her spouse, Stephen J. Antoine of Lafayette, Louisiana; his maternal uncle, Charles Garner and his spouse, Jeanette Manuel Garner of Welsh, Louisiana; and his brother-in-law, Col. (Ret.) John E. Groves, Jr. of Camden, Arkansas.  He was survived by his sister, Angela Livingston Groves of Camden, Arkansas.  John was born on February 22, 1958 in Camden, Arkansas and professed his faith at the early age of 10 years during a Jack Hazelwood revival held at First Baptist Church in Camden.  He was a former member of First Baptist Church of Camden, and later in life joined the Penecostal  faith, but attended Victory Church in Camden while home for visits. He was a 1976 graduate of Camden Senior High School.  He attended Southern Arkansas University, SAU-Tech, where he received a certificate in CAD/CAM, and Henderson State University.  He had been employed as a surveyor with the Arkansas State Highway Department for 10 years, but had most recently been employed in the construction and landscaping industries and  had resided in the states of Georgia, Florida, Texas, Nevada, Colorado, Washington, and Oregon prior to his death.  He served in the U. S. Army stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia where he attained the rank of sergeant, having served as a gunner and having qualified as a sharp shooter.  He was honorably discharged after 4 years of service to his country.  During his lifetime he registered a trademark with the State of Arkansas called Less Stress.  He was also a licensed massage therapist and a licensed christian counselor.  He loved hunting, fishing, grilling outdoors, and living life on his terms.  He was a former member of the White Oak Lake Hunting Club.  Forever in our hearts.  Deeply missed.
