Mitchel A. "Patty" Grzywoc, 89, formerly of 23 Frontnac St., Indian Orchard, a retired 35-year welder for the former Westinghouse Corp., died Friday at the Holyoke Soldiers Home. Born in Ware, he was a longtime resident here. He was a Army veteran of World War II and was a former communicant of St. Matthews Church. He was a member of the Indian Orchard 100 Club, and played semi-pro baseball for the White Eagle Baseball Team, the Westinghouse, and Fisk Tire baseball teams. He also played baseball for the Weir River Club of Ware. His wife, the former Helen Adamchek, predeceased him. He leaves two sons, Mitchell P. of East Sandwich, and Stanley of Provincetown; a brother, Walter Grzywacz of Wilbraham; three sisters, Helen Nalepa, Stephanie Bagienski, and Veronica Renaud all of Wilbraham; and three grandchildren. A private service will be at the Orchard Funeral Home, with burial at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holyoke Soldiers Home, 110 Cherry St., Holyoke, 01040.
