Carolyn Kuhns Shampine, 82, of 304 Lyman Ave., Fulton, died Friday.

She was born in Shamokin, Pa. She and her husband owned Jim's Soda Spot, Fulton, for 30 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fulton, and a member of the Mayo Clinic Alumni. She was an Army veteran of World War II. Her husband, James A. Sr., died in 1998.

 Survivors: A daughter, Kathy S. Mullin of Baldwinsville; a son, James A. Jr. of Redondo Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild. Services: 7 p.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home. Burial, Mount Adnah Cemetery. Calling hours, 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Contributions: Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Route 176 N. and Gillespie Road, Fulton 13069.
