George J. Mesaris of Church Street, Edwardsville, died Friday in Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston, shortly after admission.
Born in Exeter, he was the son of the late Andrew and Susan Havrilla Mesaris.
He was employed by the D&H Coal Co., Larksville, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of St. Hedwig's Church, Kingston.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Mary Yanushefski; sons, George Jr. and Thomas, both at home; Robert, Hunlock Creek; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; a brother, Joseph, Exeter; sisters, Mary Brozonis, Forty Fort; Agnes Emershaw, Luzerne.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerby Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Hedwig's Church.
Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Dallas.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
