PALLOTTA Joseph, 90, of Little Egg Harbor, NJ passed away at AtlantiCare Regional Hospital, Pomona, Wednesday, June 11, 2014.


He was born, raised and lived in Palisades Park, NJ before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1996. Joseph loved his children and loved spending time with family.


He was a World War II Army Veteran serving in England, France and Germany as well as a member of the VFW Post 316 where he received 4 Chaplain's awards for bringing clothing to the poor.


He worked for Lipton Tea, Prentice Hall and Curtiss Wright, all in NJ.


Joe was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society at St. Nicholas Church in Palisades Park and was active in Pro Life Groups at St. Mary's and St. Theresa's Churches where he dedicated his life to saving babies.


He had a heart for youth, coaching in the Babe Ruth League and serving as Pool Commissioner and on the Recreation Committee in Palisades Park. 


He was a good friend of Sister Jean from the Atlantic City Rescue Mission where he brought clothes and food to the needy there for many years. 


He is predeceased by his loving wife Edith Grunke Pallotta in 2013, parents Pasquale and Dora Pallotta, grandson Pat, two sisters and one brother.


He is survived by his children Dolores Carlino, Sandra Regan (Mike), Susan Petitt (Dan), Patsy Pallotta (Diana), Lillian Mytyk (Doug) and Joey Pallotta (Diane), his grandchildren Teresa, Michelle, Christopher, Jason, Jessica, Jannel, Tamra, Jarrett, Janeen, and Ashley and great-grandchild-ren Paige, Paisley, Parker, Porter, Savannah, Jayani, Jenesis, Caden, Colton, Reise and his sister Lucille Pallotta.


Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, June 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, Sunday June 15 from 2-5 PM and Monday, June 16 from 8-9 AM at Maxwell Funeral Home 160 Mathistown Road Little Egg Harbor, NJ 08087.


A Funeral Mass will be on Monday at 12 noon at St. Nicholas R.C. Church in Palisades Park followed by Entombment at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee, NJ.
