Thurrott, John R.June 4, 1919 È Nov. 4, 2008. John was a veteran of WW II serving in the med corps that followed General Patton. After the war, he went to Syracuse University where he met the love of his life and wife of 58 years, Louise Greig. Upon graduation, he began his long career at Monsanto and he and Louise raised their 5 children; Hope, Drew, Brooke, Greg and Grant. He was the best dad in the world, who taught by example and disciplined with kindness. A wonderful son-in-law, Doug Landis and two beautiful grandchildren, Jay and Gail Hulser followed. He loved his backyard vegetable garden and never met a dog he didn't like. John always put his family first and we will always love him with all our hearts and miss him forever. Peace, J.R.Services: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark's Presbyterian Church in Ballwin or Life Skills Foundation. A Service of the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory.
