Alan Kirby

Got drafted in 1968, but joined the Navy for 4 years.
Was an electronics technician in the Navy, then joined Hewlett Packard (16 years) as an electronics assembler, technician, supervisor and manager. Went to 3Com for 2 years as Production manager, then Acuson Ultrasound as a production manager. Acumen was bought by Siemens corp, and production was sent to Korea, so I became a Business Process Engineer. Worked at Acuson/Siemens for 22 years and retired in January of 2013. I love fixing things, so I am a handyman around the house, and I volunteer my handyman skills to the Environmental Volunteers in Palo Alto. I installed a two post hydraulic car lift in my garage so I can work on my cars.
