William Christensen Obituary

Bill Christensen was born on 3/4/47 to Nona Helene Korts and William Powell Christensen in Alameda, CA.At the age of 2, the family moved to Saratoga, CA, where siblings Linda and John were born. Bill attended the old Quito School and was in the first graduating class of Westmont High School. He played trumpet in the school band. Bill attended West Valley College, San Jose State, and UC Berkeley, finishing with a Master's Degree in Social Work. Bill worked many jobs, he was a route driver for his father's company, Christensen Frozen Foods, he delivered Au Bon Vivant pastries, NorCal distributor, counselor at Lompoc Senior Citizen Center, counselor at EE's Group Homes, and served on the Council of Churches. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the early 1970's.He is survived by his wife Donna (nee Freeman), daughters Julia and Beth, sister Linda (Richard), brother John (Beverly), nieces and cousins. Services will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 12770 Saratoga Ave., Saratoga, CA, on Wednesday, August 16th, at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church where he participated in the choir for many years. The family wishes to thank Valley House Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care these past 5 years.

Glenda L. McIntosh (McDaniel)

Condolences to Bill's family and friends.  I remember him from band and he was a very nice guy and reading his obituary it looks like he was throughout his life.  God bless his family.
