Sample of book Posted Wednesday, May 2, 2012 11:46 AM Attached is a sample PDF of a classmate book based on profiles and pictures submitted to this website. What else would people like to see? I would like to include pictures from previous reunions and the upcoming reunion as well. The file will grow large so it would be broken into several parts and available for download on the yahoo group site once this site closes.
Still learning - file is too big. I'll figure out something else to share a sample |

RE: Sample of book Posted Sunday, June 3, 2012 12:23 AM Terry I Love the sample of the yearbook! Wow. Time has gone by hasn't it !!! ??? I love seeing how we've all 'grown up'. It would be fun to see photos of past prom nights or graduation pics..... There must be some from the flood of '72. Remember graduation day? Route 5 & 20 was completely underwater! Was anyone in charge of photos from the other reunions? Maybe Val would know... |

RE: Sample of book Posted Monday, July 2, 2012 02:37 PM Terry, Are we going to put together photos from the reunion into a new 'year' book? People could purchase/order them the night of the reunion..... I wonder if the class of 71 had theirs done through Moore Printing? Margaret Fox may know. |

RE: Sample of book Posted Monday, July 2, 2012 04:03 PM The idea I had was to take photos from past reunions and school and then from the single use cameras we're going to have at the reunion and put it in a book with the profiles (I've been working on that part). I'd like to offer it to people for free via the web. If they want to print it it would be in a pdf format. I may also talk to FedEx Kinko's for their pricing. I would be willing to help those that don't have much internet expertise or connection get them printed. I thought we could have a first draft (minus any pictures this year) available at the reunion. We should have cameras at the Tour of the school, the boat ride, Friday night, Saturday at the Riesling festival, the zipline, the bike ride, etc..... I'm open to suggestions as to how best to present the book. Did you go to the 10 year and was there a book --- and do you have it?

RE: Sample of book Posted Tuesday, July 3, 2012 09:45 AM Don't remember having any book at the ten year. But that doesn't mean we didn't have one. haha. I just don't remember....... At Tom's Thirty year (I think) they took pictures at the reunion and then we were able to order the book and it was sent to us. We got it about two weeks after and it was a great momento. Probably through Stegall photography or maybe Moore Printing ? Um... Let me see if I can ask Mary Miller about last years book that they made. Or Sam Casella knew about it. It would be a nice momento, but costs more money. I'll be sure to have enough cameras. And we can ask others to take shots and share with us. I'll bring them on Friday's school visit.

RE: Sample of book Posted Tuesday, July 3, 2012 02:30 PM I talked with Mary Miller at some length a few months back. They did have a photographer. I agreed with her assessment though that the candid shots by classmates posted to facebook were much more memorable than the professional. It seems it was a hassle for her to get the book as well. We'd also have to charge another $2 per person and then have them order the book on top of that. I think we can make a pretty neat book this way. It will be free to all unless someone wants to print it. The class of '70 also had a photographer, a different one. Those shots weren't much better, they had a magician as well and he seemed to be in over half the photos! We could also tell classmates if they bring a one use camera and leave it we'll develop the pictures. |

RE: Sample of book Posted Tuesday, July 3, 2012 04:24 PM the book for class of 1971 was done by Stegall's Photography. They were there to take pictures of the class and did up the books. I can check with Donna Moore Miller (my boss) how they did them

RE: Sample of book Posted Tuesday, July 3, 2012 05:41 PM Could Moore Printing print our own book? What format would it need to be in? Would PDF work or Microsoft Publisher? I think spiral binding is usually the least expensive but are there other options? |
