John Antony (Knox) Mellis NAPIER Funeral Notice

18/06/1941 - 12/04/2023

Beloved father of Susan, Alexander and Anne,

brother of Sarah and ex-husband of Mary.

Died peacefully in Dover, Tas. with family by his side.

Knox is deeply missed by his family, friends, community and devoted dog, Bella.

Knox served in Vietnam with 101 Field Battery from September 1966 until
June 1967. He was initially the Gun Position Officer of the Battery and later promoted to Captain.

He lived in Dover Tasmania and was president of his local RSL Club for some time. He was also a life subscriber of the 101 Battery Association.

I joined him as a SA entrant and knew him before we joined.  He was a good guy, RIP Knox.

Colin Toll

RIP Knox.  Knox was a character who marched to the beat of his own drum. A good mate during four years in Duntroon and always good company.

Knox was certainly his own man in every respect. A bit plder then most of us but that didn't hold him back.A true character and a gentleman. RIP Knox.
