Don Appleman passed away on December 12, 2001, at home in Sulphur, LA, where he had resided for 22 years. He was a native of Pittsburg, PA, but resided in Canfield, OH, and attended Canfield schools throughout grades 1-12. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Army Corps of Engineers during the Vietnam War. A boilermaker by trade, he was a former Cities Service employee, and also worked for Harrah’s. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sulphur.
Don was survived by his wife, Judy, a son, Don L. Jr., and a daughter, Jody. Also, two brothers: Mark of Canfield, Ohio, and Robert of Boardman, Ohio.
