Margaret Myers Davis died in 1971. Husband John Davis and one daughter age 4 survived the car accident. A daughter, Barbara, age 6 and an infant died in the tragic head-on collision with a drunk driver.

Margaret enlisted in the Navy after high school. She met her husband in the Navy, where John was an officer. The family lived in San Diego for several years after their marriage. I went to visit them in CA in 1967 where they lived on the naval base. Margaret was a very spiritual lady and was so happy in her marriage and she said that God had blessed her with three beautiful children. I exchanged many letters with Margaret during those years when Margaret was in CA. In 1970 John left the service and secured a job as an engineer in Rochester, New York. My husband, Chuck, and I visited with the Davis family just days before the accident. I always thought that visit was a special, unplanned chance to see the them.
