I can't believe we've lost so many classmates. I'm also stunned to learn about J.J. One thing I remember about J.J. is that he could do more than 60 sit-ups in one minute. In PE they'd make us sit on one anothers feet and count while the coaches timed out one minute. Well, I held J.J.'s and he got like 61-the rest of us were probably in the 40's. The teacher, I don't remember which teacher, thought we were cheating so he watched and counted as he made J.J. do it again. He got like 63 the second time. I still think that was cool. Rest in peace, J.J.
this is pretty shocking to me as well. Does anyone have an idea of what happened? I remember talking to him when he was in North Carolina, still have his email...What I remember was going over to his house, hanging with Nancy, his sister, and we used to practice our signature over and over, thinking we'd be famous one day and would be signing all kinds of autographs. You'll be missed J.
