Left home, went to Santa Cruz. Did terrible, illegal things, building on the base of my behavior in Canfield. (But was doing them because they were fun rather than because I was unhappy which was a nice change.)
Lost touch with everyone I ever knew in Canfield who wasn't related by blood or marriage.
Moved to LA, fell in love with my boy even though I'd known him since Santa Cruz. Went to grad school, decided not to be a psychologist when I finally realized I don't like people with problems. Got a job in marketing, turned into a job in market research, turns out I like it. Became a very big deal at the company.
Traveled all over the world, took lots of pictures (Asian stereotype). Made lots of friends (or rather my boy made lots of friends since i don't like talking to strangers but luckily I like the ones he keeps).
Settled into a perfect life of unending happiness. Boy had a stroke the day after Valentine's. Reaffirmed my lack of religion. Now spending time helping my boy relearn how to walk and tell time, luckily didn't lose his memory or sense of humor.
Don't know if I'll be back for the reunion, looks unlikely. But I'm glad to see everyone's pictures and realize how few of you I would recognize if I saw you on the streets of LA, and feel bad about that. So if you see me, reintroduce yourself.
Never thought I'd have a minute of nostalgia, but looking at everyone's profiles, I've been inspired to dig out pictures from senior year. Damn did we rock the big hair.
