Sam was a quite shy person. Don, Dick, and I would make hay in the summer time with Sam. Sam was very proud of being a member of the Canfield High Band. Sam never turned down anyone when asked to lend a hand. I only wish that I had taken more time to hang out with Sam and speak with him. But I quess we all fall into that "rut" Dale "412"

I visited Sam when I was in the Canfield area. He never asked for anything but loved a lemonade and waffle from the fair. We spent hours poring through CHS year books and reminising over elementary class photos. In between visits we would text every few months just to check in. When he didn't respond, I figured he just wanted his privacy. He was a very private person. I am so sorry, Sam. I didn't know. Rest in peace, my friend.
