Gary E. Hoover 1962 - 2021 photo Gary E. Hoover 58, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 16, 2021. He was born on May 13, 1962 the son of the late Willie and Evelyn Hoover. He was a 1981 graduate of Canton McKinley High School. Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1981 to 1985. He was employed at Greyhound and at DLH Industries over 25 years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing cards, especially Rook. He was a dog lover. Gary had many achievements but his greatest was his love for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and twin brother, Terry L. Hoover. Gary is survived by his brother, Larry (Jeannie) Hoover; sister, Barbara Barthel; nephews, Sean (Renee) Hoover, Shawn Barthel and Brett Hoover; nieces, Karri (John) Smith and Shannon (Jacobbi) Harper; great nephews, Jonathan, Eric and Matthew; great niece Gabriella; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Reed Funeral Home (CANTON CHAPEL) where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Sunset Hill Burial Park.
