Steven R. Baird, 52, of Canyon died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church of Canyon with Reed Redus, minister of students, officiating. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home.
Steven was born April 8, 1958, in Odessa to Donald and Nadina Baird. He earned a B.A. Degree from West Texas State University.
Steven loved music and was able to bless many young people as director of bands at Edinburg, Tulia and Canyon. Steven will be dearly missed as he was loved by all.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine; a son, Travis Baird of Canyon; a granddaughter, Elliot Baird of Canyon; his mother, Nadina Oney of Las Cruces, N.M.; and two sisters, Janie Sanchez of El Paso and Leslie Blanchard of The Woodlands.
