Mary Beth Klein, 50, of Amarillo died Wednesday, July 30, 2008.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Llano Cemetery with Dr. Murray Gossett officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Mary Beth was born Nov. 8, 1957, to Syrus Brooks and Emma Jane Carroll in Waukegan, Ill. She graduated from Canyon High School and was voted "Most Beautiful Girl" in the class of 1976. She attended West Texas A&M University. She married Rick Klein. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a past board member of Planned Parenthood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick, in 1997; her parents; and a sister, Rebecca Bland.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Kim Klein McTee of San Antonio; a stepson, Paul Coble "Coby" Klein of Corona, Calif.; a sister, Priscilla Haynes of Amarillo; three brothers, Cliff Carroll and Ralph Carroll, both of Amarillo, and Cornel Carroll of Claude; a grandchild, Michaela Harley; and her wonderful pets, Mia, Buddy and Hot Dog.
The family suggests memorials be to Amarillo SPCA, P.O. Box 1014, Amarillo, TX 79105; or Amarillo Panhandle Humane Society, 3501 S. Osage St., Amarillo, TX 79118.
