Robena Johnson Davis, 46, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church of Canyon with the Rev. Jackie Riles, pastor of Greater Love Temple in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.
Mrs. Davis was born March 19, 1958, in Floydada to William and Lily Mae Johnson Jr. She moved to Canyon in 1968 and graduated from Canyon High School in 1976. She was named All State in basketball and track in 1974, 1975 and 1976. She attended Tyler Junior College and Frank Phillips Junior College.
She then received her cosmetology license from Exposito Hair Design and was a beautician in Amarillo for several years. Her most recent employment was with ASARCO. She married Toney Davis in Amarillo in 1996. She was a member of Greater Love Temple in Amarillo.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lily Mae Johnson in 1995.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Coquise Johnson, Michelle Colbert and Shunta Johnson, all of Amarillo; two sons, Orlando Davis and Z. J. Davis, both of Amarillo; her father of Canyon; six brothers, William Gerald Johnson of Lubbock, James Ellis Johnson and Johnny Ray Johnson, both of Amarillo, Robert Earl Johnson and wife, DeDe, of Providence, R.I., Randy Wayne Johnson of Dimmitt and Michael Johnson and wife, Karen, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four sisters, Sandra Ann Roston and husband, Willie, and Michelle Johnson and husband, John, all of Cedar Hill, Merry Joy Byers and husband, Louis, of Birmingham, Ala., and Norma Lynn Brunt, and husband, Bill, of Houston; and seven grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
