Ruth A. Hotelling, 55, formerly of 578 West St., Carey, died at Wyandot Manor Nursing Home at 7 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003.
Born in Tiffin on June 6, 1947, she was a daughter of Kenneth and Maybelle (Risner) Logsdon. She Married Thomas Hotelling on Aug. 24, 1968, at Our Lady of Consolation in Carey. He died Nov. 11, 2000.
Surviving are a son, Aaron Hotelling, Upper Sandusky; a daughter, Dana Hotelling, Carey; five grandchildren, Leland, Samantha, Jessioca, Shila and Abby; six sisters, Juanita Welly, Janice Welly and Mary Garner, all of Fostoria; and Martha Mullholand, Carol Pfeiffer and Beth Logsdon, all of Carey; and two brothers, Lloyd and Jerry Logsdon, both of Carey.
A 1965 graduate of Carey High School, Mrs. Hotelling was a homemaker and babysitter for many children in Carey.
She attended the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation.
Mrs. Hotelling enjoyed sewing, quilting, camping, cooking and going to garage sales.
The funeral will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home with the Rev. Leo Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Visitation is at the funeral home from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Ruth....You had an infectious laugh that made others around you feel good. You were the first to compliment and just a sweet soul who never sought out the limelight, but sat back and let others around you shine.The true definition of this is class...and you did have that.
