Rusty was one of the most naturally kind people I've ever met. Even in Middle school, when most of the boys were weird around the girls, Rusty was friendly and relaxed. He had a way of noticing if someone was being picked on, and he'd intervene, but casually and easily. I'm so very sorry his family lost this wonderful man so young.
In 5th grade at Tularcitos, Rusty Elsberry and Brad Wiesner would peg us in "team ball" and leave welts! They were so athletic! It was worth playing, though, because if you made it to the end, you had major bragging rights! So sad that Rusty is no longer with us.
