Deceased Name: Thomas A. Cosgrove
Thomas A. Cosgrove, age 57, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at his home in Brainerd, Minnesota, after a brief, but very courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Elgin, to Philip and Lois Cosgrove on April 8, 1951. He graduated from Dundee Community High School in 1969. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war, where he served in the Navy on the USS Biddel. After serving in the Navy, he went to Minnesota to vacation and met his loving wife of 31 years. He retired from Quest after 28 years and continued to work as a payphone technician for FSH. He loved his volunteer position as assistant naturalist of the Kathio State Park where he headed up the eagle project and oversaw the care of wild birds. While Tom was a Twins fan, his heart belonged to the Chicago Cubs. He had high hopes that they would finally win the pennant this year. His greatest accomplishment was his three children.
He is survived by his wife Rhonda; his three children Meghan, Dylan (Michelle), and Sarah all of Minnesota; his mother Lois of Elgin; his brother Paul (Kathi) of Denver, Colorado; his twin sister Virginia "Ginger" (Michael) Duncan of Elgin; and his beloved dog Gracie.
