Mary Ebert Hutson

Mary Lee Hutson - SAVANNAH - Mary Lee Hutson, 58 died peacefully at home, Monday October 5th, with her family at her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was under the care of her family and Hospice Savannah. Mary was born in Elgin IL, but called Savannah her home for over 30 years. Mary is survived by her children: Paul (Holli) Stevenson, Rachel Hutson, and Corey Hutson, and her stepson Jason Hutson; grandchildren Michael and Abigail Stevenson, Noah Huston, Nicole McEwen, and Elaina Hutson; mother and stepfather Peggy (Bill) Bodmer; sisters Shelia (Ken) Schuring, Paula (Bill) Held, and Sue Ebert; brothers Bob Ebert and Tom Ebert; stepsisters Tammy (Skip) Bacon, Sharon (Tim) Dillon, Wendy (Bill) Abermoske, Lisa Bodmer, and Heather Bodmer, and stepbrother Bill (Kristy) Bodmer as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews; her aunt Nonie Eineke, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father Leslie Ebert, her grandnephew Kevin Rewis, and many beloved aunts and uncles. Mary was employed by Dr Richard and Debra Roth of Savannah. Mary was very family-oriented and was also second mother and grandmother to many others. Personally, and with her work, Mary has touched the lives and hearts of all who knew her. She enjoyed days at the beach, cooking and baking Christmas cookies, and playing with her grandchildren. Mary also had always had great love for all animals, especially her little dog Cisco. There will be a visitation at 1:00 PM, Saturday October 10th, with services immediately following at 2:00 PM at Fairhaven Funeral Home in Garden City, GA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice Savannah or to the charity of your choice.
