
RICHARD F. "DICK" FINK
Richard F. "Dick" Fink of West Dundee Memorial funeral services for Richard F. " Dick " Fink, 59, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee, where Dick's family will be receiving friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. The Rev. Phillip Baerwolf will officiate. Private burial will be in Dundee Township Cemetery East, East Dundee. Born March 16, 1951, in Elgin, he died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at his home. He was a lifelong resident of the Dundee area, a 1969 graduate of Dundee Community High School and a lifelong member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Dick was a former nine-year employee of the Dundee Township Library District. Prior to his retirement in 2008, Dick was a 21-year employee of the Dundee Township Cemeteries. Following retirement from the cemetery, he was appointed to the Dundee Township Cemetery Board and served as a trustee from 2008 until the time of his death. He was a classic Chevy Corvette enthusiast and was a very gifted mechanic. Dick enjoyed restoring old cars and motorcycles. He was a founding member of the National Corvette Museum Foundation. Survivors include his longtime friend and companion, Geralyn Sailor of West Dundee; his niece, Amy (Todd) LeFevre of Crystal Lake; his grandnephew, Blake; his grandniece, Brynn; his stepbrother, Bob (Ann) Block of Lake Marian; and his brother-in law, Mark Riedl of East Dundee. Dick is also survived by many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Fink; his mother, Ruth E. Reko Fink Block; his stepfather, Leonard Block; his sister, Kathy Sue Riedl; and his son, Marshall Fink. Memorials may be made to the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran School.
