David Nepermann

David Lee Nepermann, age 62, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Hines Veteran's Administration Hospital in Maywood. He was born on Feb. 27, 1951 in Elgin, the son of the late Henry W. and Berniece M. (nee Thies) Nepermann. David was a life long resident of the area, and a 1969 graduate of Dundee Community High School. He also earned an Associates Degree from Elgin Community College. David was a life long, faithful member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served as a communion assistant, member of the Men's Club, Fellowship Ministry and Stephen's Ministry. David was a very proud United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed music and going to concerts, gardening, and camping. David was also an avid cat lover. Survivors include his sisters: Debra L.N. (Gerald) Hopp and Mary L. (the late Ronald) Toppel and his nephews: Kevin (Anne) Hopp and Christopher Hopp and his grand nephews and niece: Brendan, Mitchell and Kelly. His aunt: Mary (the Late Walter) Thies and his uncle John (Clarice) Nepermann. David is also survived by many friends and cousins and enjoyed a close friendship with Henry (Clennie) Kroplin. Memorial Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 310 E. Main Street in East Dundee. The Rev. William P. Yonker will officiate. Private family burial with military honors will be held on Friday at the North Plato Cemetery. David's family will be receiving friends at the church on Thursday from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Please omit flowers, memorials may be made to either the Immanuel Lutheran Church and School or the Lutheran Hour Ministries.
