CARY – Kathryn Ann Kroll, 59, of Cary, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at her home.

She was born Oct. 4, 1951, in Elgin, to Rolf and Evelyn (Kalck) Bjerke.

She graduated from Cary-Grove High School in 1969. She had worked as an administrative assistant for the past five years at Aptakisic-Tripp School District 102 in Buffalo Grove.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, blogging, crafts, antiques, being outdoors, and her dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Irv, to whom she was united in marriage June 3, 1972, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Cary; her children, Tresa (Chris) Stone, Michael (Bernadette) Kroll and Matt Kroll; a grandson, Graham Stone; her siblings, Anne Valentine, Jack (Judy) Bjerke, Karen (Peter) Altman and Kay Todd; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert.

A memorial visitation was held on Monday, April 25, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the funeral home. Interment in Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery in Cary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018, would be appreciated.
