Kevin B. "Java" Coffey
BURTON'S BRIDGE – Kevin B. "Java" Coffey, 60, of Burton's Bridge and formerly of Cary, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 22, 2011, at his home after a short battle with melanoma.
He was born Feb. 16, 1951, in Chicago, to Charles and JoAnn (Gillespie) Coffey. They preceded him in death as did a brother, Michael Coffey, and a sister, Margi Coffey.
He is survived by five siblings, James "Bean" Coffey, Patrick Coffey, Mary Beth (Whitey) Hursh, D.J. (Michael) Grap and Judy (Jay) Smith; his nieces and nephews, Joseph (Kristin) Coffey, Ryan Coffey, Adam Coffey, Bryan Grap, Eric Grap and Ryan Hursh; his great-niece, Kaitlin Coffey; and his great-nephew, Shane Coffey.
The visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Road, Cary. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Cary. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Fox River Grove.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010.
