Also feel free to share your memories of Peg with us. It's really not so much about the dying that matters; but how Peg lived and affected your life...
I took Peg to Homecoming freshman year. It was a completely "friends" type of date. I remember having a good time-- though I've heard that our height difference raised eyebrows--oh, well! We remained friendly but hung out with other people--had some classes together and always had a smile for each other. During my "Cary Music Center" life Boyd Miller was our accountant--I'd ask about Peg,her kids etc. Then we closed the store during "Reaganomics" early days. I moved to memphis. Trice Nieman called me one night to tell me Peggy had passed. Since I was fond of her I sat down after the phone call to pray for her. I felt filled with her presence or Spirit and spontaneously burst into tears while continuing to pray. I read years later that this happens when we are in the presence of angels. It felt to me like a doorway had opened to heaven but I'm sure that seems crazy. My real point is I didn't know how closely our spirits were linked until that night(mid 80's).
