Warren A. Wolbers

CASCADE, Iowa - Warren A. Wolbers , 35, of 304 Hayes St., Cascade, peacefully went home to Jesus at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque, following a long illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Cascade, with Monsignor Thomas Toale, the Rev. Mike Keating and the Rev. Daniel Krapfl officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Temple Hill. Friends may call from 1 to 9:30 p.m. Monday at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there will be a wake service at 6 p.m.

Mr. Wolbers was employed at Webber Metals and Cascade Lumber Co. and as a truck driver for Schneider Trucking, Jeff Loes, Dave Rea and Wilbur Hosch.

He was born on Oct. 27, 1970, in Dubuque, son of Patrick and Yvonne (McCarthy) Wolbers . He grew up in Bernard.

He was a graduate of Cascade High School. He attended Clinton (Iowa) Community College, where he received a degree in drafting.

He married Kimberly Hoffman on June 11, 2005, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Temple Hill.

He was a member of St. Peter's Parish in Temple Hill.

Surviving are his wife, Kimberly Wolbers , of Cascade; five stepchildren, Elizabeth (fiance, Issac Hammerly) Ressler, of Ames, and Michael Ressler, Laura Ressler, Alex Ressler and Evan Ressler, all at home; a granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth; his parents, Patrick and Yvonne Wolbers , of Bernard; four siblings, Richard Wolbers , Wanda (Gordon) Dossey and Diane (friend, Tony Kurt) Wolbers , all of Dubuque, and Onalea (Michael) Evert, of Cedar Rapids; and nieces and nephew, Alex Merz, Brittany Merz and Sydney Merz.

A Warren A. Wolbers Memorial Fund has been established.
