Scott Matthew Koppes, 36, of Iowa Falls, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, Mason City.

He was born Oct. 24, 1973, in Dubuque, son of James and Dianne Kean Koppes. On April 20, 1996, he married Brenda Behrends at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls.

Mr. Koppes graduated from Cascade High School, Cascade, in 1992, then attended Clinton Community College and Hawkeye Community College. He worked as a hog buyer at Tyson Foods for 16 years.

Survived by: his wife; a son, Justin; a daughter, Annika; his parents of Cascade; and a sister, Nekole (Dan) Frommelt of Platteville, Wis.
