A few words from Don

On November 16, 2021, Brian Hergert was unexpectedly taken from us in Pueblo, CO after a courageous battle with the COVID-19 virus. Brian leaves behind his loving and strong, but heartbroken family: wife Cynthia, daughter Ali, and son Bryson.

Brian was an entrepreneur from an early age, owning and operating a lawn care business as a young teenager and throughout high school. He was an honor-roll student, a great athlete, and very popular member of the NCHS Class of 1987. Brian always loved to clown around and constantly tease everyone! He studied at Kansas State University and graduated from Colorado State University-Pueblo in 1992. In March of 1995, Brian and Cynthia were married, with the pride of their lives coming later in the form of daughter Ali and son Bryson.

In more recent years, Brian worked as a leader in the construction sales field and as the owner/operator of his own small business. His interests could be summed as “the Colorado Avalanche, Jeeps, firearms, and especially Coleman Lanterns!” He was also a “Master-Barbequer” and he often grappled with his love-hate relationship with the Denver Broncos. But most important to Brian were the relationships he had with his friends and family.

We have established the “Brian Hergert Memorial Fund” to support Cynthia, Ali, and Bryson as they deal with the grief of this unspeakable tragedy. Your gift will help take some of the financial burdens from the family due to the many unforeseen costs related to Brian’s passing, and to help support them in the days ahead as they try to heal. All funds will go directly to Cynthia Hergert. Thank you in advance for your generosity and any contributions you can make.
