He was born September 17, 1966, in Cassville, Missouri, the son of Gary, Sr. and Norma (Ray) Gibson. He was united in marriage to Melanie Roark and to this union one son, Dylan, was born.
He is survived by his parents, Norma and Gary Gibson, Sr. of Cassville; his son, Dylan Gibson of Cassville; maternal grandparents, Lavern and Tessie Ray of Aurora, Missouri; two nephews, Austin and Ryan Smith of Republic, Missouri; aunts; uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and a sister, Robin Smith.
Gary received his education at Cassville, graduating from Cassville High School. He was a painter and for the last twelve years made lots of friends through his work. He loved feeding and caring for his animals. He also loved to reenact the Civil War, ride his Harley Davidson and to hunt and fish. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Cassville.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 22, 2009, in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Reverend James Weaver will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
