Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with heavy hearts, yet filled with faith in Your boundless mercy and love. We place our dear Ernie into Your holy hands, thanking You for the gift of his life and the light he brought into this world.
Lord, we pray for the eternal repose of Ernie's soul. In Your loving kindness, forgive any failings he may have had, and welcome him into Your heavenly kingdom. Grant him eternal rest, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, through Your divine mercy, rest in everlasting peace.
We also lift up Marlyn, his children, and his entire family to You. Wrap them in Your comforting embrace, hold them close in their grief, and fill their hearts with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen their faith and remind them of the beautiful promise of eternal life, where we will all be reunited in Your glory.
