Well, let' see. I joined the Navy in '82, after flailing around CR for a year. That was fun. Got to see the world, just like they said in the commercials (unfortunately it was the part of the world that is covered by water....). Actually it was reasonably interesting, I was an Aviation Ordnanceman in an F-14 squadron (Top Gun was filmed at my base), but was glad to get out.

Then spent a couple of years at Iowa in the business school, got bored, moved to Minneapolis, got cold, moved back to IC to finish my degree, but started an IT business instead, got married (briefly), divorced (mercifully), she ended up keeping the business, and then I moved to Michigan in '93 just after the flood. Built furniture for a couple years in Holland, MI, then got into banking (Treasury Management, but the natural progression there is probably obvious) with First of America, then National City, then moved to Phoenix in '98 to take a job with Bank One, and then with JPMorgan Chase where I had risen to the level of Western Region Vice President of Treasury Management Special Services (even less interesting than it sounds).

In '06 I decided I had had enough with banking and moved back to IC to finish a degree in Computer Engineering at Iowa (and just in time for another flood, yippie!). Graduated in December '10 (30 years is about the appropriate amount of time for a BS degree after high school, right?). Currently working at Rockwell-Collins as a Software Engineer and living in (gasp) CR again.

And the teachers at Wash thought I lacked direction. bah.
