A Cedar Rapids man was killed in a car accident Saturday in Tampa, Fla., just south of St. Leo College, where he was studying hotel/motel management . Travis R. LaBarge, 20, of 2306 Chestnut Ct. NE, died of head and upper-body injuries suffered when he drove a car into a tree, according to the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office.

Travis Roget LaBarge,20, of 2306 Chestnut Ct. NE, died Saturday in an auto accident in Tampa, Fla. Services: 1 p.m. Friday, Teahen Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday and after noon Friday. Burial: Czech National Cemetery. Survivors include his parents, Roger and Carolyn, both of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Branden of Cedar Rapids.

After a four-month investigation, detectives in Tampa, Fla., have ruled that a Cedar Rapids man was the driver in the one-vehicle accident that took his life. Travis LaBarge, 20, 2306 Chestnut Ct. NE, died May 29 when a truck hit a tree just south of St. Leo College, where he was a student. Another occupant of the truck, Bryon Wolff, 19, of St. Petersburg, Fla., suffered a broken leg but survived.
