This is no rumor…and I am really sorry, but we are going to have to cancel the tour of Jefferson part of the reunion.  I will  be in Wisconsin for the weekend and was planning on driving back to give the tour, but after talking with our AD and head Principal, they have also canceled some other tours because of how torn up it is up here.  Some areas are not even open to folks without hardhats.

We have three BIG construction projects going on right now.  I am up here today and it’s a complete construction zone due to the geo-thermal installation, bathrooms being re-modeled, and, probably the worst part is we have our entire front drive completely torn out right now as they are re-doing about $500,000 worth of concrete work.  The main entrance is completely closed and currently impenetrable .  It will be a great and well-needed improvement, but the timing for this summer and especially this weekend is terrible.  Our AD attempted to give a tour a couple weekends ago and the group was only able to access one hallway of the building.  It did not go well and many were disappointed.  Also with the recent rains, we have taken on some water damage in the auditorium and fine arts areas as well as the newly refurbished weight room.

I wish this reunion was just one year later, because all these major things will be done and it will be pretty impressive.  I don’t know how many of you have seen the new cafeteria, but it has been a great improvement and we are looking forward to the rest being done later this summer.

I hate cancelling so late on this.  Please plan on this tour happening for sure for our 30^th in 2019!!  A big THANK YOU to Lisa and the others on the committee  for doing all the work with the website and the planning!!
