Patricia "Pat" A. Bentley, 71, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I

In agreement with Pat's wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral mass was held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.  Private committal services will take place at a later date at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Pat entered this world the daughter of Robert and Dolores (Schmuecker) Fee, on January 31, 1953. Pat is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dan Bentley; children Jill (Shane) St. John, Tracy (Corey) Alberts, Christine (Paul) Doerning, and Kevin (Marcy) Bentley; seven grandchildren (Tyler, Jacob, Makynzie (Garrett), Dane, Joey, Callie, Spencer, Riley, Beckem, Logan, and Nora); and siblings,  Deborah (Dwight) Dohlman, Sheryl (Mike) Huber, Daniel (Laurie) Fee, and Robin (Larry) Williams. Preceding her into eternal life are her parents, Robert (1992) and Dolores (1985) Fee; sister, Sheryl Huber (2021); her in-laws, Ted (1999) and Mary (2024) Bentley; brother-in-law, Dennis Giblin (1985); sister-in-law, Shirley Giblin (2023); and her daughter, Nicole Katherine Bentley (1995).

Pat attended Immaculate Conception School and went on to graduate from Regis High School in 1971.  In 1975, Pat began her role as a mother. She was active in her children's lives as a homeroom mom, chauffeur, Girl Scout leader, and their number one fan in the stands. She was also just a phone call away when you needed advice. If you stopped by for a visit, you were likely offered one of her delicious chocolate chip cookies. In 1976, Pat helped her husband start his own business and spent many nights doing the company bookwork. Together they formed many close friendships and enjoyed many outings and vacations, especially those with Rudy and Barb (Donnelly) Pino and John and Patty Waldorf. Pat was also very active in her church community.  In 1996, Pat became a grandma, her favorite role in life. She was the quintessential grandma who kept busy with all her grandchildren's events, which she loved to attend. Because of her traditions and kindness, her seven grandchildren knew a grandma's love.
