Charles D. Parks, 48 of 1490 Country Club Dr. Marion, died Sunday, June 2, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center after a sudden illness. Services at 10 AM on Wed. at King of Kings Lutheran Church. Rev. Leon Hauser will officiate. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday. Survivors include his wife, Becky, two sons, Daniel and John both at home, his father and mother, Loren and Dolores Parks, four sisters, Angela Tesar and husband, Dean and Lois Simmons and husband, Kirk all of Cedar Rapids, Gloria Tesar and husband, Don of Mt. Vernon and Mary Whitters and husband, Matt of Hudson, Mass. Also survived by an aunt, Lois Rohman and husband, Bert of Metamora, ILL. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann.Chuck was born on Aug. 13, 1953 in Ft. Madison, the son of Loren and Dolores Vegalius Parks. He married Becky J. Wenndt on Dec. 6, 1975 in Cedar Rapids. Chuck was an order administrator at Rockwell-Collins for 24 years. He was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church and was Assistant Scout Master for Troop 360 for many years.
