Jeanne Marie McAvoy Worth Born March 16, 1953 in Cedar Rapids, IA and passed away August 6, 2008 in Dallas TX. Jeanne was preceded in death by Margaret Kane McAvoy (mother). She is survived by Bill Worth (husband) Richardson, TX, Daniel Worth (son) Richardson, TX, Brian Worth (son) Conroe, TX, Michael McAvoy (brother) St. Louis, MO, Daniel McAvoy (brother) Jersey City, NJ, Robert McAvoy (father) Cedar Rapids, IA, and Camilla McAvoy (step- mother) Cedar Rapids, IA. Jeanne was a caring and giving person, always willing to help. As a graduate of the University of Iowa she started her career as a teacher in the Kansas City inner city. From there she moved on to work in real estate and real estate relocation. She retired from that activity to raise two small children and to support their school's fund raising efforts. These fund raising efforts ranged from supporting St. Paul 's science class field trips to Jesuit Rugby. Her latest endeavor was the support of the Catholic Mission in Quito. The family will receive friends at Sparkman Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 10, the Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 11 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 S. Floyd Rd. in Richardson, Rev. David Flori, Presider. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, TX. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in support of the Catholic Mission in Quito, Ecuador which has been supported by the family for several years.
