I am extremely saddened by the news of Susan Beecher no longer being with us. I know she had many struggles in her later year of high school, but I remember our friendship through grade school and being a neighborhood friend. Even though our friendship deminished in middle school, I always will remember Susan and cherish the old friendship we once had.
Susan also lived near me and we walked to school together sometimes and we also did party together too. She always wanted to go a bit further than I would though. I remember one time we were walking home from a party and we sat down to rest....in a snow bank...haha and we just looked at the stars and talked about what we wanted to do with our lives. She just said she wanted to have more times like these and sleep. I moved away from WI in 1989 after graduation and I am sorry to say that I didn't keep contact with her. You will always be in my heart and I will toast you on your birthday. Love you Susan!!! Jenny
Gosh, this is so sad. My mom usually sends me the obituaries but I didn't know about Susan. She was a friend in Parkview, but then I think we drifted apart. I think she was such a funny and bubbly person, I am sorry to hear about her. Susan, you were my buddy. I'm sorry we drifted apart. God bless you always.
Her birthday was July 4th, 1971 ... I remember that because we had a huge fire on the beach at lake michigan in port washington one time ... was a great night.
I know she struggled with heroine ... but I am not sure if that caused her death. She passed away on January 15, 1998 at the age of 26. I wish I knew more. I wish I would have stayed in contact but we had different goals and once I left Cedarburg I focused on real life.
