I was so sad to hear about Gus. When I had heard of his passing, I was devestated. During highschool I enjoyed spending time with him. Like most of us guys he was insecure when it came to asking out the girls. We spent many hours talking about his crush at the time, Ellyn Sosin. Acting as a bidge between them, he finally got up the nerve to ask her out. He was one of the sweetist guys I knew. You hate to call a guy sweet, but he was. I went to Buffalo, he went across state to Albany. Then we lost contact during college, I had always hoped we would reconnect, it was harder in pre facebook and email days. He is missed.
I knew Gus since 4th grade and all thru High School. Reconnected after college. Was shocked and very saddened when I learned of his passing from his cousin. Rest Easy!
He was always a nice guy, all the girls had a crush on him, very smart and kind. Was shocked to hear of him being ill and that he lived 5 minutes from me in the same school district. Met his wife briefly at the wake. I think he had two children. I just remember seeing one, Ben holding a benefit for a cure for Sarcoma which is what his dad had.
I also knew Gus from 4th grade through LHS and was one of those girls with a crush on him. He was such a nice fellow. I was saddened to see that he is no longer with us. My heart goes out to his loved ones.
