Road trip! I didn’t meet mike until after H.S. We & Jerry Gilbert went on a very different 3 day trip to Des Moines Iowa. Very quickly got tired of Ricky Nelson’s “Garden Party.”
Mike and I spent a lot of time at Uncle John's (Aunt Sonya's) drinking coffee and arguing about the poitics of the day, then later after he took over at Shelby motors. My regret is that when he came by on his bike after not seeing him for a while that we didn't make the coffee meeting sooner. Mike passed away several days later.
