Old friends never change - we just get a little older and a lot wiser.
We also learn to talk a little more so that everyone knows just where we are coming from! In case there was ever a doubt!

I am looking for a picture that is not missing Ann Palmatier, Joan Piland and Nancy Ray like the one above. This is straight from the yearbook on-line; sorry. Perhaps Nancy was still "under the Hood" at the Order of the Old Lampshades.

Can you believe Nancy Ray was the "Head Bulb"!!!

Hi Everyone:
I hope this finds each and every one of you well. As you all know, we will be celebrating FIFTY (50) YEARS since graduation in 2015 and it is time for us to start planning some really special events to share. If we have the reunion in Chapel Hill, UNC will have special recognition for certain classes, but, in addition, I think we should have some activities unique to our class - the sky should be the limit when planning and if I remember correctly, some of our classmates (not me, of course) will have no problem in planning some unusual celebrations.
For starters, we are thinking of having a big birthday bash for all of us; as Rieman so aptly put it, "we all have a birthday sometime," so lets all celebrate together! Any thoughts or input are welcome as always.
We also need to address accommodations. Karen started the ball rolling on this - please see "Accommodations 2015 Survey" to the left and respond if you have not already done so. If we want to stay together, we must address this now or we will not be able to find space that will fit all of us.
We are also preparing for our beach reunion in Spring 2014. In addition to having an indescribable good time, we will also utilize that time for planning/tweaking plans for the 50th in 2015. PLEASE try to join us then as well. Details will follow in a few months. You will not regret it!!!
I can already feel the excitement building, so let's all jump on the band wagon and enjoy the planning as well as the ultimate event.
With love and best wishes to all,
Kay
