So sorry to hear of Denny's passing.  He was always an "up kinda guy", and was fun to be around.  I don't ever recall him having a bad word to say about anyone.  I have one memory of Denny, and that was that he asked me if I would double date with him to the '61 homecoming dance.  He wanted to take this girl who he wanted to date, but didn't want to go it by himself, so he asked me.  I wasn't going with anyone at the time and he told me that his date had a girlfriend who was really "hot."  I had my reservations but said okay. Well, the girl ended up not being hot at all, and didn't want to dance, so the whole evening was a travesty.  I always gave Denny a ton of grief over that, but we always remained friends, and needless to say, I never did another "blind date" after that.  As the old saying goes, "Once bitten twice shy". RIP old friend.

Denny was a classmate of mine from Kindergarten on, beginning with Lincoln School.  In the 2nd grade he sustained an electric shock off a highwire. His dad had a load of ?corn? on an open rail car and ?denny was sitting atop it.  True to future form he had to check out the wire above.  /so he touched it and the electricit exited his foot. He came to school with his foot all bandaged up.  An electric lesson we all learned from.  He grew up on a farm just outside CC.  He grew what I guess today would be Coi fish in the horse trough.  /to him, they were gold fish he put in theire to see how big they would get.  They got BIG. Blessings on Denny's spirit and to his family.
