Eileen was 50 years old when she died in Charleston on January 11, 2001 after a long illness. She was a pharmacist and lived most of her adult life in Pittsburgh. Eileen attended Chatham College and held bachelor’s degrees in pharmacology and biology from Duquesne University. Longtime friend Elise Power remembers that Eileen loved her two cats and read a lot, especially mystery novels. She and Eileen reconnected by coincidence at a laundromat in the 80’s when Elise moved to Pittsburgh. It turned out that they lived only blocks apart
