Francis Flannery

Francis died in 1970 while he was living with his parents in Bluefield, WV. He had not returned to Georgia Tech and took a job at nearby a coal mine while he figured out his next move. Tragically he was struck by lightening while riding in a jeep and carrying a long pole at his job. Kim Harich and others can tell you about the day in the summer of ‘68 that Francis was relegated to the trunk of Mike Gibbon’s car due to lack of space.
