Survived By: Survived by his loving wife Claudia; daughters Rena and Rachel and their husbands, Ross and Dustin; stepchildren Cherie, Heidi and Damien and their nine children; siblings George (and sister-in-law Della), Rena and Kathryn. He was expecting his first grandchild (a girl) in mid-March.

William Adrian Sauvageot (Adrian) of Tustin, CA, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from complications of liver cancer. He was born December 7, 1944 in Charleston, West Virginia, son of the late George Alderson Sauvageot and Grace Alice (Smith) Sauvageot. He graduated from Charleston High School in 1962, received his B.A. from West Virginia University in 1967 and his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of California, Irvine in 1975. He was then an adjunct assistant professor of philosophy for several years. In 1983 he became a regional engineer in the oil and gas industry and spent three years based in the Middle East and South Africa, traveling extensively. Upon returning to California, he received his M.B.A. from UCI in 1990 and ran his own business for several years. An avid outdoorsman, Adrian had a lifelong love of fly fishing, backpacking, and other outdoor activities, which he continued to pursue in his retirement. He had a deep passion for animals and volunteered at several Orange County organizations, including the Irvine Park Nature Center and the Orange County Animal Shelter.

Bill was a friend ever since grade school, and there never was a better friend! We traded email messages only a month ago, and there was no indication that he was ill. I will miss him and hold his memory in a place of honor in my heart. Farewell old friend.
