So very sad to hear of Ted Hinson's death. We went to Matthews Elementary School from the first grade through the 9th grade and then on to East Mecklenburg. Rest in peace dear Ted.
It saddens me deeply to know we have lost Ted. All of us Matthews people knew him as a gentle soul with a big heart and a beautiful deep singing voice. He wanted so badly to join our Matthews class for lunch last July and before that in November of 2016, but each time his health issues interfered. My deepest sympathies to Gail and their children and grandchildren.
People remember different things...like Gini remembered Ted's singing voice. His loss is a shock to me because I remember the strong outdoorsy landscape artist who took care of my mother's shubbery needs at Lake Norman. That place is long gone but I remember Ted's help to the Widow Hood when she called him.
