Without a doubt one of the nicest people you would ever know.  Spent many of our early teen summers at Crescent Beach (now North Myrtle Beach).  Good friend - better person.

SKIDMORE, RETIRED M/SGT. WILLIAM K., JR. - age 55, of W. Palm Beach, Fla.,
formerly of LaFollette, Tenn., passed away Thursday, August 6, 1998, at his
home in W. Palm Beach. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church, Charlotte,
N.C. and of the Air Force Association. He was an avid auto racing fan of
driver Dale Earnhart. M/Sgt. Skidmore retired from the US Air Force as a
highly decorated veteran of the Vietnam War. During his service, he received
20 medals including seven Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; one Silver Oak Leaf
Cluster and two Bronze Service Stars and numerous others. He is survived by
his wife, Dreama Dillon Skidmore; son, Jim Skidmore, both of W. Palm Beach,
Fla.; daughters, Darlene Hinojos of Jacksboro, Tenn. and Charlene Caswell of
Oliver Springs, Tenn.; grandchildren, Chris and Josh Ahers, Shane Fadden,
Brittany and Brady Caswell, Amanda Skidmore and Dillon Hinojos; parents,
William and Pearl Skidmore of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters, Phyllis Coe, Gail
Gregory and Dale Odom, all of Charlotte, N.C.; and a host of other relatives
and friends. Funeral service will be 8 p.m. Monday, August 10, 1998, in the
chapel of Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson officiating. The
family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday before service. Interment will be
10 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 1998, in Campbell Memorial Gardens, Jacksboro,
Tenn. Martin Funeral Home of LaFollette in charge of arrangements.
