Eddie was the son of our Choir Director, Mr. John Sanders, and Mrs. Sanders, my homeroom teacher. He was named for his uncle, Ed Sanders, who was principle of GHS and who has recently passed on. Eddie was a shy person, but was brave enough to travel with me, some other girl-friends and my parents to Myrtle Beach after graduation. He was the only guy in the crowd; and, although we really didn't expect him to jump in the car the morning we left, we went by anyway! I was saddened to hear of his passing a few years ago. God bless him and his parents and Mr. Ed.
